Designed Cuisine
The love of good food, a passion for quality preparation and presentation, and the desire to show others the physical and mental benefits of taking time to share a good meal are what inspired the beginning of Designed Cuisine.  Our food is “created” as with art, and the palette we use is the bounty that nature has to offer.

In addition to personal chef services, Designed Cuisine specializes in intimate and small dinner parties for up to twelve people.  Other offerings include cooking classes in the home, special occasion and festive events such as birthdays, showers, and anniversaries, as well as catering for private parties and birthday teas for the younger set.  Gift certificates are also available for personal chef service.

With the obesity rate growing daily for children in this country, showing them the joy of basic and simple cooking techniques, and that it can be fun to eat what they cook themselves is a focus for Designed Cuisine.

July, 2008 -

Ah, those "Lazy Days" of summer!  Actually, the hot, hotter and hottest time of year for those of us in Texas.  From Dallas to Austin, Abilene to El Paso, it's just plain hot.  But all the wonderful summer fruits and vegetables must have the heat to grow and for us to enjoy gobbling them up!  Nothing like a "cold supper" of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon and other garden delights at this time of year.

This is my favorite "food time" of year with all the great (local) produce coming in, from black-eyed peas to tomatoes (from Canton and Jacksonville, Texas) as well as watermelons and later in July the wonderful Pecos cantaloupes from Pecos, Texas.  Nothing beats that sweet treat in the summer!
